I take photos because one day I want to remember myself through the photos I have taken and I'm too lazy to maintain a diary :-\

I'm in a field of applied science and at the moment I'm a researcher and a teacher at a university in Melbourne, Australia.

I'm a fanboy... of the truth. I passionately defend it. Don't take it personally if things get in your way.

About my recent photos:
I am a photo-purist to a great extent. So almost all the shots I've taken recently haven't even been cropped or rotated to correct vertical alignment. If I'm not happy with an image, I throw it away. Yes, I use only primes and I like fast lenses. I manual focus a lot. I don't retouch images (see notes below images). I don't shoot in the continuous mode (machine gun) to capture action.

And I shoot most things except macros and old people's wrinkles. Also I hate it when people refer to digital camera ISOs as "ASA"... Anyone seen the "ASA button"? I didn't think so.

Flickr groups I've created:
Multicultural Australia
Large Format Color
Canon L Primes on Film
Canon 200-400mm f/4L IS Extender 1.4x
Canon EOS 1D X
Light The Night [Leukemia & Lymphoma Soc., Leukemia Fndn.]

I think anyone who hasn't covered the Beijing Olympics armed only with film and a shoebox with a hole in it is guilty of being a gearhead.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy the photos. I love to hear your thoughts - both good and bad.

Note: If you would like to use my images without linking, e.g. for print, offline, etc., feel free to ask :-)

    Boudicca Design says:

"In my opinion, GT has a particularly sound eye for capturing the human condition, whether it be glamour in fashion runways, or candid street shots... There is a certain 'air' and another level of thought behind his shots which keeps the viewer fixed in his compositions. Inspiring.
