"I don't even know where to begin a testimonial for Hal. He's been a loyal supporter of mine since day one on flickr and has played a large part in my progression as a photographer and in my love for flickr. I really can't believe I'm only just now writing this.
His work is always heartfelt, sincere, and funny. No matter what kind of day you have you can check in on Hal and his photos and your heart is lifted. He inspired me to do more long exposures and night shots. His are incredible. His "Then and Now" shots show his deep appreciation for history and also for the inevitable changes that we witness over the years. His city shots show his love for New York and for architecture. His self portraits are always unique and with an honesty that is so rare these days.
