I am Cyndi Pfeiffer, an artist, a wife, a mother, a daughter, sister and friend! Being all these things are easy yet challenging. The artist element is my biggest blessing and that the same time . . . a curse. I must create, if I don’t, I fail myself. Everything I make on computer, paper, or canvas is a type of focus and meditation. I breathe it ---every day and then every night it’s in my dreams. I love crafting because it doesn’t have to be serious!
I currently live in the NE Atlanta, Georgia area with my husband of 29 years and 3 kids, Mindy-25, Hanna-21, Kevin-18. I worked for 11 year with Publix Supermarket in the pricing and floral departments. I am currently a Tennis Attendant at a county park near my home.I have an education in fashion, but creating 3-diamentional novelty items is my passion. I like different subject matters, but lean toward ordinary, child-like themes. This comes from my experience with gift shop, hand painted, Dot Lettering of the 1980’s; known as Personalizing.
My goal is to show the world my colorful works of art that compels the viewer say “WOW”! I am known by friends and fans as “CYNDiLou,” and I feel imaginative and a little crazy. I’ve got a million dream ideas to alter from the plain to mixed up, bringing new purpose to everyday objects, or creating something that gets a reaction like…"How did you think of that?!?" I seem to have a different thought process than others, similar to turning bras into purses or coffee cozies into mini lampshades.
My knack for crafting and the love of finding inspiration came from my Mom, my Grandmother and my high school art teacher, Mr. Shubart. My early life, growing up in New York, was filled with ceramics, traditional homemaker crafts, Pack O’ Fun & McCall’s Needlework & Crafts Magazine and collecting miscellaneous ephemera for my “Morgue”.
