I am a husband, married to a beautiful and talented wife; I am a father, a dad to two great children. I am a 5th grade educator and reading specialist. It is exhilarating to see that light bulb come on when the students ‘get it.’

I love photography. It has been many years since I’ve picked up a camera, but I’ve been encouraged by my wife to start anew. She gave me a P&S for Christmas and I've been having a blast. Truth be told, I am picture-taker among photographers, but I love the beauty in everything. I am in awe of the talent I see here, and it encourages me. I also love to have fun with my pictures.

*Note* I would like to take this time and apologize to all of my friends. Because of my schedule during the week, my time is limited, so I'm not often able to comment on your photos and to reply all to the comments on my stream. Rest assured that you are in my thoughts, and I will comment as soon as I am able.

*Update 9/19/09 --- I now have a new camera, a Nikon D90, and what a learning curve from my P&S...I'm going to have fun. :~}
