Robert Jewett says:
"I don't care who you are or how long you have been in the business. This guy knows more about your equipment than you do. Seriously.
If you need to power a strobe with two tooth picks and a rubber band, e-mail him. He'll give you 14 ways to do it with 6 alternates for the voltage differentials in Latin America."21st April, 2009

"The more you get to know John, the more you realize how smart he is. And I mean really smart. He knows a lot of technical stuff about a lot of different things, and how to put that knowledge to use. I would say this is one of the reasons he has such an in depth working knowledge of photography. From his all-encompassing know-how with Nikon's CLS to his proficiency with lighting of all types, John can get the shot. On top of that he just has an eye for photography, from composing shots with complex elements that work together, to finding elegance in even the most simple of shots, he is a true photographer.
Most importantly, he can accurately quote Ferris Bueller's Day off on demand--like I said, this guy is smart! 8) Seriously, John is another photog I am glad to know and have the opportunity to shoot with."12th September, 2008

geowulf says:
"John certainly has a talent for the knowledge of photography. His technical expertise is apparent in the things he is most passionate about. John is also a 'wise-guy' in more ways that just the 'techie' arena.
We have shared a few good laughs and swapped a few good stories.
If you have a good idea, it would be wise to run it by John. He always has something beneficial to contribute to any idea.
Truly a great friend!"16th June, 2008

jcvigi says:
"I've had the pleasure of shooting with John (iaincaradoc) more than a few times over the last year, and every time it's a treat. John is a photographer with talent and knowledge he's just itching to share. If you show up on a shoot with a brand new piece of equipment, forget the manual, just have John along. He's already read it cover to cover, and probably found a few typo's too.
I've been on outings with John were he barely gets off a shot, because he's enjoying helping others so much, but when he does get out his camera, watch out, it's going to be great!"20th May, 2008
