LiefPhotos' photostream |

I consider myself to be a "serious amateur" photographer, specializing in landscapes of the Pacific Northwest (waterfalls, rivers, mountains, forests, wildflowers). The natural beauty in this part of the world continues to overwhelm me, and I hope to never take it for granted.
I have been known to "go the extra mile" to get a good vantage point, as seen here, here, here, here, here, here, and here. (My sweetheart delights in documenting my channeling Don Quixote.) Despite numerous bruises, scrapes, yellowjacket stings, and a cracked rib, I have managed to survive.
You can find my "best-of" gallery at LiefPhotos.com, from which you can send any of my photos as a free electronic greeting card. I also have a frighteningly comprehensive PBase gallery if you have more time to explore. Fine art archival-quality prints of my photographs are available for a reasonable price. If you are interested in purchasing a print, please contact me via e-mail.
If you love wildflowers, then I invite you to visit OregonWildflowers.org, a community resource for wildflower and photography enthusiasts to share information on where and when to visit Oregon's best wildflower locations.
If you are using Google Photo Screensaver, please feel free to add http://liefphotos.com/liefphotos.rss to your photo feeds... this contains over 80 of my favorite photographs which will be randomly displayed on your desktop. I also offer RSS photo feeds specifically for waterfalls/rivers, mountains, and wildflowers

Just Peachy! says:
"Greg's stunning landscape photos of the Pacific Northwest are a big inspiration for my own photography. Not only does he have a good eye, he's willing to go the extra mile for a good photograph, wading raging creeks, scrambling up and down steep hillsides, and bushwhacking cross-country where no trails go. His passion for waterfalls has resulted in a beautiful and ever-growing collection of waterfall photographs. I always look forward to new photos on Greg's photostream!"

victorvonsalza says:
"Very few things stop Greg from finding the best vantage points and lighting conditions for each of the many waterfalls and streams he shoots, and we are the lucky recipients of his efforts. Thru his beautiful and carefully crafted photos Greg helps us appreciate and enjoy the beauty of waterfalls, streams, and wildflowers, and then thru his www.oregonwildflo... makes it easy for us to find the best time to enjoy wildflowers and then share our enjoyment of them with others too."

Gary Randall says:
"Greg is an inspiration to those of us that aspire to greater photographic heights. Couple his talent with his subjects, and he is easily one of my favorite photographers.
His documentation of the places that I have been familiar with all my life are remarkable in that I see these places from a different perspective when I view his work.
Keep up the great work Greg. Perhaps we'll meet in the field some day soon."30th October, 2008
