Day
I am an entrepreneur with a background in software engineering. Most notably, I founded a company in 2009, Fanvibe.com, backed by investors including Y Combinator, which was acquired in 2011 by beRecruited.com. I am now the Lead of Product and Engineering (fancy title) of beRecruited.

Night
I have a passion for photography, but I fear that if I get paid for any type of photography, it will lose it's magic forever. The magic is a sense of making history, of capturing a moment into a piece of art that doesn't exactly represent the moment in a realistic form, but translates the feelings I had at that moment. Sometimes I just like how pretty I can make something look.

Weekends
I love volunteering for good causes, and if it involves taking photos to help then that's even better. I've done lots of photos for the American Cancer Society, an intense project for the San Quentin Prison here in the San Francisco Bay Area, and other organizations locally. I hope to do more soon.

Life
I live in the San Francisco, CA bay area. Went to school at UCSB for my B.S. in Computer Science. Now working as a product manager and engineer, as well as starting my own companies.

Weddings
Weddings are really just one big fat photo opportunity. Everyone is happy, everyone looks beautiful and handsome, and the location is always spectacular. I don't have the confidence to be a primary photographer, nor the experience or talent, but I do love taking photos behind the scenes as a guest. Glass of wine in one hand, camera in another.

Portraiture
I've gone away from straight posed shots. Every portrait I take I want it to tell a story. Not just an artificial pose. I'm still learning.
