Northwest Marine Yacht Club is a Lake Charlevoix marina with transient slips and seasonal rentals, complete with swimming pool and other amenities.
Unlike any marine facility you have ever been at, Northwest Marine Yacht Club is in a class by itself. Recognized internationally for its staff and facilities, it is the perfect location for a summer address. Situated on Lake Charlevoix in “Charlevoix the Beautiful” on the shores of Lake Michigan, it is truly one of the country’s finest summer resorts and vacation destinations.

Tranquility, superb restaurants and shops, excellent municipal facilities and friendly people characterize the community. Lake Charlevoix is one of the state’s largest inland lakes. It empties via the Pine River Channel into Lake Michigan for miles of nautical enjoyment.

Since 1981, Northwest Marine Yacht Club has offered an unmatched cruising area and the privacy of a Club atmosphere. Don’t let the word Club at the end of the name fool you. It means a group of friends who are all owners of their own marina. If there were to be a dress code (which there isn’t) it would be swim suits and shorts.

ABOUT OUR HARBORMASTER - Eric Kammermann has been involved in the Marine Industry for over 30 years. Starting in the U.S. Coast Guard his duties included, Officer in Charge, Underway Duty Officer, Boating Safety Inspector and Instructor, Coxswain and Surfman small boat certifications, major and minor Aids to Navigation certifications. Upon discharge Eric became a licensed Captain on Passenger Carrying Vessels up to 100 gross tons. He has numerous hours underway on the all the Great Lakes, St. Lawrence Seaway, ICW, Illinois and Mississippi Rivers. As VP and General Manager of the Beaver Island Navigation Company and General Manager of the Beaver Island Boat Company he continued to further his knowledge of the Marine Industry. His knowledge and expertise in the design, installation, and maintenance of de-icing systems is sought after by marine operators through out the Great Lakes. He has successfully managed or provided training to marinas in Illinois, Wisconsin, and 5 marinas in Michigan. His community involvement has included, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4-H, Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce. As a nationally licensed soccer coach he has spent countless hours donating his time as a coach and referee with local youth and high school teams and groups. Eric has been associated with Northwest Marine Yacht Basin Association for over 20 years. His dedication and service to our owners over the years is unparalleled.
