I came into photography through a side door. I spent my grad school days processing satellite imagery of the earth. (Just think about really large-scale digital images...) When photography went digital several years ago, I found that my schooling could be actually be useful.
My Photos I Like
I am a volunteer and photographer for the Palmetto State and Cape Fear Roller Derby teams. I also like to travel around the Carolinas and beyond, photographing other Roller Derby bouts as well. I am working on expanding my photography skills in other areas as well now, including theatre photography and portrait photography.
“A Boy Named Tsunami” is my name for Roller Derby (and occasionally for other contexts as well).
