Ex-political prisoner of Maldives and former Amnesty International prisoner of conscience. I was accused of "defamation" and "attempting to overthrow the government" of Gayyoom. In 2002, I was imprisoned for life and tortured in Dhoonidhoo and Maafushi jail... Currently living in self-imposed exile in Switzerland: A researcher on International Relations.
