I love my family. I love God. And I love to sew. I've sewn since I was a little girl. I really got into sewing 18 years ago when my first daughter was born, making clothes for her and myself then got into sewing for my home. After a while I found the passion for quilting. I am kindof a collector of hobbies! I'll try anything crafty at least once!
I'm married to a wonderful man that doesn't always understand my passion for sewing, but does support it! I have two daughters, one 17 years and one 10 months old! I'm a registered nurse but right now am staying at home with my little one. I sell Sabika Jewelry on the side.
I love all colors, but my home is a light shade of grey with lots of white (that way its easier to redecorate by changing my accent colors!). Right now I have shades of turquoise, red and black throughout my home.
I have a passion for polka dots and for argyle. I don't care for characters in my fabrics. I love some of the big names in fabric, but I'm not about "labels", if I like a fabric I buy it!
I have an embroidery machine with some amazing software that I'm trying to learn to use!
I love to garden! I am President of a garden club. I love to incorporate my love of gardening into my decorating with garden tools, flowers and veggies. I always have a big vegetable and flower garden. My favorite flowers are daisies and hydrangeas of every color. I help with the coordination of The Penny McHenry Hydrangea Festival here in Douglasville GA. I love to garden but I don't like to garden here, I miss the mountains of VA where gardening is easier! And there are more fabric and quilt shops!
I have a blog and I love to blog, but I'm also busy so I don't have time to devote to it consistently and I don't let it consume my life.
