I'm Jess, and I don’t think I could even try to be anyone else, though god knows I tried before I figured out there’s no one I’d rather be.

I'm twenty-four years old, and I live in the beautiful city of San Francisco, California. I just moved here in April 2010 (on my 24th birthday), so it's all very new and exciting and gorgeous and wonderful right now.

I live with my boyfriend, Derek. Together, we drink lots of tea, eat lots of chocolate, gorge on ice cream at least three times a week and watch lots of movies. And he makes my world wonderful.

I'm a constantly growing polyglot. Je parle français. Io parlo italiano. 我说中文。

I love being near the ocean, so quite a bit of my photography takes place on beaches or piers. I also love taking photos of things from angles I don't think most people see, or focusing on the details that are usually overlooked... but which are always glaringly obvious to me.


As I've said for years, I am quite aware of how ridiculous I am.
