My passage through life has brought me to so many different levels that it seems that I have lived nine lives. I've been a wife and mother for most of my life... Married to the same man for over 40 years with no regrets... wife of a man who shoots for the moon, literally (as well as mars) and has succeeded nine times out of ten times... mother of a 6'8" tall blond headed window cleaner that hangs off the side of high-rise buildings in downtown Seattle ... mother of a beautiful daughter who has grown into an organic gardener and model mother ... grandmother of a granddaughter that will someday be on stage or in films due to her natural acting talent or a writer due to her mastery of words ... grandmother of a preemie granddaughter that started her life in Children's Hospital in Seattle who will most definitely break a great many hearts along the way with her impish smile and twinkle in her eye and could become a famous photographer due to her artistic eye ...grandmother of a preemie grandson that started his life in Children's Hospital in Seattle who ncould throw a baseball at age 3 so straight, he could hit you between the eyes three out of four times ... daughter to a mother who could look at a picture in a magazine of a designer outfit and sit down at her sewing machine and make a duplicate for herself and me... step-daughter of a step-father that has been inducted into TWO Sports Hall of Fame ... daughter of a father that was the shuffleboard champ in Las Vegas NV and fought on Iwo Jima ... step-daughter of a step-mother that made the best biscuits and gravy in Texas ... sister of a brother who was an events coordinator for the likes of John Denver and Boss Scaggs and others down under in Sydney ... half-sister of a half-brother who road the range and had a room full of saddles and belt buckles won in bareback and bull riding competition ...granddaughter of a grandmother that cooked three meals a day on a wood burning stove for the ranch hands on the Price Ranch near Pampa Texas, granddaughter of a grandmother that made the Big Z BBQ fundraiser in Pampa Texas famous with her cole slaw recipe ... granddaughter of a grandfather who herded and branded cattle on Buzz Hoover's ranch near Higgins TX ... fifth great-granddaughter of Little Blue Hen who has her own Choctaw history recorded in the interview of Josephine Latimer in the Oklahoma Pioneer Papers. These people have been listed first in describing myself because their being in my life has lead me to who I am today.
Some flashes of my life .. saw the Beatles and Beach Boys live in concert when I was a teen ... designed and constructed the costumes for the entire cast of Tartuffe while attending theatre arts classes in college ...was one of the many players in the first condo in Seattle to sell for two million dollars in the 90's ... was the coordinator, caterer, florist, dress designer and seamstress for bride and attendants for both daughter's and son's weddings ... designed and constructed canvas boat cover for a friend's two masted 38' sailboat at home with my portable sewing machine ...have spent many years enjoying the outdoors and camping with family and friends ... I will leave the list open as more things come to mind.

All of the photos in my photostream have been placed in sets. Most of the photos (except the photos of family) have tags to make searching for a subject that you might be interested in a little easier if you don't want to look through all of the sets. Some photos have a designation as "before" and "after" when there is a project, improvement, or great change evident in the photo. There are photos labeled "garden" that are in several different sets.

"One of the first of many extraordinary things I discovered about Sandy was found in her in-depth profile. Most of it is an accounting of the pride she holds for the many accomplishments & successes of all the people in her life that she loves. Not about herself. About others. Not surprising, now that I've got to know her. Her generosity toward others is unparalled. She will jump at the chance to help, to teach, to encourage, to support. To say 'congratulations' to your every accomplishment, no matter how small. To go out of her way to make you feel good. And loved. Her comments on others photos are always in-depth & meaningful, you can tell she's taken the time to really look, see, & think about the content, visual & emotional, before writing. And always generous with faves & invites.
Her own photostream is a sight to behold. She shows you snippets of her world, a basket, a window, a scupture, in masterful composition & detail that makes me yearn to see just where she lives. Her flower macros are second to none. Beauties, each & every one. And nobody presents flower collages like Sandy does, that's for sure. We've been flickrfriends for awhile now & I value her friendship deeply. Sometimes she takes a break & goes away for awhile...and leaves a great big hole in flickrland.
Thank you, Sandy, for your friendship, for your affection & for your beautiful photographic offerings. It's an honour to know you & call you friend. Love ....Ana"13th February, 2008

"Sandy is such a neat person. She loves her family dearly and that clearly shows by all of the beautiful and heart warming photos she shares on her photo stream. Sandy also captures nature and its raw beauty. She always adds a special touch to call them her own, whether it be a colorful border or a nice caption explaining her work. Most importantly, Sandy is gracious, sweet & considerate to those other photographers on Flickr. She even lets you know if she’ll be gone from the site for awhile, but as soon as she returns, she’ll look at your photo stream, which I think is a class act! Thank you, Sandy for being who you are and for all of the beautiful work that you submit to Flickr. I look forward to seeing much, much more!"

"This must be too early for me to give a testimonial for someone I only meet few days ago. And this must be my first ever attempt to talk about someone I barely know. But what urge me to write this testimonial to a new friend is her very enthusiastic and heartwarming comments she posted in most of my entries.
Sandy is a very generous spirit, she pours her feelings and appreciation of what I may say a simple creation of mine. Reading her comments, gives me a lot of high and encouragement to be better on my next entry.
I barely know you, but I would like you to know your unselfish and generous compliments makes my day, your words truly inspire me to give my best, present the best snapshot I could make.
Thank you Sandy for being part of my wonderful group of friends here on Flickrville. May we always continue to enjoy browsing and admiring each others work. God bless and happy Flickring."31st July, 2007
