I took up photography as a hobby in the late 60's, using a Zenit and later a Practica 35mm SLR with several lenses.
I became interested in street photography and portraiture, later tried my hand at black & white developing and printing.
Domestic commitments took priority from the mid 70's until 2003 when I was given an Olympus C-750 as a birthday present. This rekindled my interest in photography so here I am again, somewhat different technology but basically the same subject interests.
I've never been all that interested in the technical side of photography preffering to use instinct to try to preserve images of life as I see them.
I have to say that since joining Flickr the depth of talent displayed by so many of my contacts has had a noticeable influence on my approach to photography.
Currently using Canon 7D but amassing a collection of film cameras and finding great pleasure in going full circle.
