It all started on Black Friday 2009, That is when I stood in line (before 5:00 AM) at Best Buy and got my Canon T1i. So it has been a year this Thanksgiving that I have been viewing the world through a camera lens, and am having a blast doing it.

I have learned a lot this past year mostly from my brother Joe and from trial and error. I have learned that you better get up early for those great sunrise pictures, even when there are no clouds in the sky an hour before sunrise. And for the sunsets you need to stay after the sun goes down to catch that last great shot.

Flickr has been a part of this learning experience also. I get to see what all the other great photographers are doing on Flickr. I get to see where they are going, what they are shooting and most importantly how they are shooting it. Sometime the greatest thrill is bumping into one of your local Flickr contact buddies and sharing notes and ideas.

There is one thing that has taken me a little longer to learn and that is that your next Flickr photo doesn't have to be your best. If you try to better that last shot your photostream would not consist of many photos.
