  He and I first met when I collided into him 12 years ago. I had fallen off the side of K2 (the sherpa who was carrying me up the mountain sneezed - I panicked and lost my grip). JB, happened to be climbing that day as well - fortunately JB was there to break my fall.
  
  Long story short, we ending up tumbling down the huge mountain and suffered cuts, bruises, broken bones, etc, etc, blah and etc.
  
  I thanked him profusely when I learned that he was the reason I was still alive. It took us 6 months to recover. We happened to be in the same hospital room healing from the injuries. Our friendship was nurtured and strengthened by the long stay - but more importantly - our admiration the really, really, hot nurses (one in particular named shhexycorin - ooooh the sponge baths from that girl - ooooh).
  
  ahem.
  
  All that shared history aside, the thing I think I most like about JB is that he, out of nowhere sometimes, posts a really killer image. There have been a couple of his postings that really are quite stunning. Not only that, the guy is a good sport and has a great sense of humor (half the time I have no idea what he's talking about - his typing skills don't help), but when I am able to figure out what was written - it generally leaves me chuckling.
  
  Overall a pretty good photographer and more importantly a pretty darn good guy.
