Hi, Okay, I've finally decided to write a proper introduction.

So, what's this? A 16 year old, holding a relatively expensive DSLR, going around to shoot pictures?

I think the two greatest influence for me to enter the great big (and expensive) world of Digital-Single Lens Reflex camera is from my dad and uncle. First of all, my dad. He used to be a television producer and a lot of his work requires him to go to rural parts of Asia for filming. He usually has his SLR and when ever he is not filming, he would take out his camera and go around taking photos with the locals. It really interests me because on television we always hear how these people live differently from us, but it was the camera and photos that really brought me there. You can see his work here

Then there is my uncle. He owns a Studio called ''An Ant'', but that doesn't mean that it will have an influence on me. But he got married a few years ago and my dad was his photographer (along with a few of my uncle's friends). My dad got me to help him on his D50(Mine in a few years time) while my dad used my uncle's D200. Back then I was 10 and when you get your hands on a big, cool camera, you couldn't stop taking photos. The sound of shutter really got me going! And it got even better when everybody looked at my photos and praised me! (well, maybe it was because I was only 12+-). But yea, That was my start of DSLR Photography. And here are some of his work.

And I think one of my other motivations are my friends! They are really lovely people. By taking photos of them, their laughter, their joy and their different emotions, my friends and I will have a more vivid memory of each other when we grow up (well, we're already separated, since I moved back to HongKong recently while my friends are in Singapore).

Why did I choose to use the term Studios instead of Photography? Well I think first and for most, my room is like my own studio, I do alot of shooting there, my Gundams, sometimes food. I have alot of equipments there, but not entirely professional. And I just like the term more :D

And why Timo? That's simply how my mates call me.

The thing is, to me, the most fundamental thing of BEING a photographer is not the expensive equipments of the amount of books you read. It is YOUR style. Photographers are artists and each artist must have their own style. Otherwise, you'd just be and ordinary bloke, someone taking pictures

Having your own style is something I've been trying to stress on for months and years. Perhaps what you see here in my flickr are not the most beautiful pictures you've seen around. But I hope each photo you see, gives you something to think about. Gives you a feeling that other "beautiful" photographs doesn't. Inspires you, makes you remember them in some way or another.

These are the photos, the snapshots of my life and the world I live in.
