I like to take photos.
(Not a big surprise as this being a photo posting site.)
I used to be a "film" photographer in the old days. I guess you can say I am a late bloomer when it comes to digital photography. I went into the digital world “kicking and screaming”. Now I am hooked!
I joined Flickr and started to post pictures. I began to notice that Flickr wasn't just moms showing off their too-cute babies and drunken collage party moments. People were actually posting some artsy stuff. I have started to try myself. I want to be a better Photographer so I am taking a lot of picture and trying to look at the world from a different perspective.

I am not an artist. I have found that people who call themselves “artists“; use that term as a way of justifying their own self-proclaimed status. Not that photography isn't art, it is. But I don't want to fool anyone into thinking that my work is any better than anyone else’s- That is for you "the viewer" to decide. . You are the ultimate judge as to what my work represents to the world and to you.


I just take pictures. My favorites are the ones that "tell a story"; that beg you to ask questions and wonder what was happening at that exact moment the shutter was open. Some are good, some are bad, some are nice, and some are dreadful. But sometimes there are those "Happy Mistakes" that make up for all the mediocrity. Those are the ones that I look forward to seeing, to making, to discover.

Part of the beauty of Flickr is the interaction between the people who post photos and those of you who take the time to comment. I am sure I speak for many when I not only invite but encourage your comments- be they good or bad. Flickr gives everyone a soapbox as well as an opinion, so you might as well use it. Also, as stated above, I love those stories. Feel free to pass along the stories you see in my pictures and if you want the real stories behind my pictures, just ask.
