The Woman Who Brings Angels To Earth

All fields of design have proved the boundlessness of human imagination. In the past, we thought only of clothes each time we heard the word ‘fashion’, but now the address is changing! Because sometimes, just one small detail can transform a simple dress into a gown.

Kristin Evihan’s job is engraving big dreams into the small details of her work. She not only works glass and silver together in her own atelier, she creates angels, each with their own unique character. Don`t think that all of them are just baby faced angels! Look again at how different they are; from care-free girls with cowboy boots to French ladies, from embarassed housewives to over-the-top dressed women to those in love.

Inspired by the idea that we were all angels when we were born, Kristin Evihan gives life to her creations by engraving their baby faces with different expressions. Melting Moretti glass rods for the faces, Evihan uses precious or semi-precious stones (amethyst, onyx, pearl, agate) for the chains of the angels and 925 grade silver, detailed with a lazer enamel technique, for their bodies. As well as combining glass and silver, she also designs very original settings for her angels, like rings, earrings and necklaces. For those who know how to love themselves or their loved ones, there are also unique clothes available in her small atelier.

Anyone wandering down from Çukurcuma, passing along Altıpatlar Street, Istanbul/Turkey and entering the door with the flowers on either side, will meet the dreams of the woman who brings angels down to Earth with her own hands.
