I put my camera down a couple of years ago and its just been gathering dust really. That was until I needed money about 6 months ago when I tried to sell it for cash at some pawn shops and was offered a measly £30 (even from specialist camera shops - telling me they wouldn't make much from re-selling and recommending I sold it privately).

Anyway I needed the money there and then and didn't have the time, let alone the patience to sell it privately and actually when I thought about it I didn't wanna sell it. So I brought it home and luckily found an old digital camcorder I could sell for £30 instead so that sorted that out.

I didn't touch the camera for another 6 months it just sat there re-gathering the dust it had before. Then near the end of August this year (2011) I picked it up, dusted it off and started using it again. Needless to say I'm glad I didn't sell it for a pittance in a moment of madness. Since then I've been slowly getting back to grips with it and have enjoyed taking it out and getting some use out of it every so often.
