Why do I have an insane number of pictures of hands in my favories?

I carve wood. I will be teaching a class on carving hands, and writing a book on the subject.

I'd like to include lots of different pictures of hands as examples. So I'm going looking up hands in flickr. Obviously, I will ask each photographer before using any of them. I think some will feel honored or want their pictures to be spread wide. And some will prefer not to, or want to be payed. I don't expect to make money on this project, at least not serious money. If, through some miracle this turns out to be a financial success, I will spread the wealth. But that's not at all likely.

So I'm like, this guy. I used to be Rotten Little Pony, but that didn't feel right.

With a wife and ten kids. No, it only seems like ten, really there are only four. And the grandbaby, so five. Except that two of them don't spend much time around the house, which means mostly 3. But the grandbaby is fast enough that he's usualy in at least three places at the same time.

Anyway, for a living, I write incredibly boring books about technology, and answer questions about the same stuff on the phone.

My wife and I have a costume shop.

I attempt to express myself through art. Woodcarving is my big form, but I also use polymer clay, draw, and paint.
