April 2010: A note on the status of the Art in Newport archive

The Art in Newport projects archive is independently maintained by John Wilson.

The purpose of the archive is to record a series of projects produced over the period 2000 - 2008, and hence to enable their ongoing public access.

The aim of the projects was to promote the permanent collections of art of the Newport Museum and Art Gallery, through a series of themed exhibitions and related online resources.

The ART IN NEWPORT series is the concept of Guest Curator John Wilson. Each project in the ART IN NEWPORT series was produced by John Wilson in collaboration with Roger Cucksey, Keeper of Art at Newport Museum and Art Gallery.
