Have recently updated to the Canon Rebel T3i and am still on the upward side of the learning curve.

I have used primarily a Canon Rebel XTi, and sometimes a P&S Nikon pocket camera. I love taking photos of birds, flowers, water and architectural features, although I take whatever strikes my fancy. Although I started out using a tripod only occasionally, I have learned from the experts that it pays to use one. It does make for better results, but I confess that the lure of shooting on the move is still strong. I am a novice birder, and am very interested in environmental issues (particularly those dealing with water). I love flowers, have done some landscape work lately, and I have a fondness for the work of Frank Lloyd Wright. Many of his concepts are incorporated into the style of my own (simple) home. So I am fortunate to have found the perfect way to merge so many of my interests.

I have not yet gotten into HDR - I find it to have an overprocessed appearance to my sensibilities. I can appreciate it if it's applied with a very gentle hand, but I think many artists over do it.

I'm learning and trying new approaches to photography. One thing I struggle with is that I can't seem to find a real focus - a sense of that unique thing that makes Me different from You and all the other fine photographers here on Flickr. I will keep searching for that and hope it will become clear to me someday.
