Photography is probably my third favorite hobby. Playing music is my first and fishing my second. I got my first DSLR about 4 years ago. Actually, when I think about that, I feel like I should be way way better than I am by now, but I'm still having fun and learning new things so whatever. I don't carry my camera everywhere I go, even though I always tell myself that I should. I enjoy using natural light to make a photograph if at all possible. I love fast lenses and a shallow depth of field.

I'll upload a variety of shots to my photostream - some artsy fartsy type stuff, as well as snap shots and candids that are not necessarily technically perfect, but are for my own enjoyment, the enjoyment of my subjects or my friends. Perhaps I'm still finding my photographic style or perhaps my style is just very eclectic. Judge for yourself and let me know.

I have a bachelor's degree in air traffic management and aviation weather from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

I'm down to one camera presently as I've been playing a lot more music as of late, leaving little time for photography. I've also had to move some photo gear out to fund guitar gear purchases.

After a brief stint with Nikon gear, I'm going back to Canon. Nikon just isn't my thing. Their bodies are just OK, (I had a D300), but their lens quality or selection isn't as great as Canon's. This is my opinion of course. I'll be shooting with a one lens, one body setup consisting of a Canon 40D and a Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L.
