Boringly average. I learned basic photography with my dad Nikkormat EL, which I have and still enjoy using. Given my choice I still love film, and especially black and white. It adds so much to an image that color just can not do.

I enjoy shooting landscapes and animals as part of my wandering around the Western US. I love to shoot volume, and of that volume a certian few show well. I am not a great fan of digitally reworking images, if the picture is there great if not it isn't. My favorite photograph I have taken is my mushroom picture at Big Basin that I laid on the ground for an hour through rain and clouds so I could catch it right when the sun came out.

I have very little to no skill in shooting portraits, and the ones I do take are mostly for youth sports groups in my town, and since they are of children I do not post them on open forum.
