I'm a married, father of 3 (grandfather of 2), retired public elementary school teacher. I have been interested in taking pictures for at least 50 years and for most of that time didn't have a decent camera. My first 35mm was a freebe when I took a test drive at a car dealership. It wasn't very good but it worked. In '86 my biggest fan, my wife, got me a Minolta Maxxum 5000 with a 50 mm lens. To that I added Sigma UC zoom 28-70 mm lens and a Minolta 70-210 lens. In 2001 my biggest fan added an Olympus digital to my tool chest. The poor Olympus began to fail so again my biggest fan wanted to get me some new equipment. Since the Minolta auto focus lenses would go with the Sony Alpha 100 camera that is the one with which I went. I love this camera and what I can do with it. I am not a technical photographer but I love to work and try.
