I'm an assessment and eportfolio consultant/keynote speaker. Before running large scale technology implementations and grants involving more than 100 university campuses, I was faculty in Portland State University's award-winning general education program, University Studies. My interdisciplinary degrees are in film & television and rhetoric & composition, with an emphasis on genre scholarship. I was teaching required courses on the American family in popular film and television when I drank the eportfolio administration Kool-Aid. One thing led to another and now I spend my days running large educational grants.

Born in Kansas and raised in Minnesota, I moved home to the Twin Cities after spending more than a long, rainy decade in Portland, Oregon. My only hobbies are reading and taking pictures—and helping other people to clean out their closets. I'm a hopelessly un-hip, recovering parochial school alumna, closet blogger, typical pastor's daughter, and early riser. The thing you'll never guess about me? I did my master's thesis on the serial killer film genre.
