A Suffolk Photographer born and bred.

My passion for photography started in my schooldays in the 1970’s when I learnt to develop and process B&W film and colour slides shooting with a manual Zenit B camera.

My interests include nature (especially birds, bugs and butterflies), aircraft and local landscapes (East Anglia). I try and combine these with another favourite pastime - walking (especially around the East Anglian coast).

Recently I switched to totally digital and use a system based around a Canon 50D with 100 -400mm f4.5 – 5.6 L IS, 24 -105mm f4.0 L IS zooms and a 100mm f2.8 macro lens. When travelling I use a Tamron 18 - 270mm VC zoom lens which I find gives a great balance between weight, convenience and quality.

I always try and set the camera up as fully as possible to achieve the desired result so I do not have to spend too much time in front of a computer using photo manipulation software.

The images I upload to Flickr are generally low resolution. I am open to requests for use of my images and can supply higher resolution versions on request. Please do not use my photos without permission.
