"So much has been said here in praise of Steve and so well-deserved! Steve is not only an outstanding talent but he is admirably modest about it. As all his friends will know, Steve has an amazingly generous spirit and is always happy to help anyone out. I'm always impressed with his gusto and passion for photography and his photostream is an absolute joy to see. Add that to his unrivalled Geordie humour and you have a true icon. A friend to be very proud of :) x"

" If you have gotten this far into Steve's profile, consider yourself fortunate. You have stumbled along to one of the finest photographers on this website. I say that without reservation, as I have been enamored and I've been following his work since I saw his first image sometime ago. One has to merely look at one of his haunting landscapes, boldly composed seascapes, and various other snippets of reality that are turned into sheer artwork within Steve's camera. It's unreal how a piece of reality can be squeezed through Steve's camera and spit out the back side is a wonderful piece of artwork.

When viewing Steve's photography, please keep in mind that the majority of his work is being done in camera. Now for photographer such as myself, I rely heavily on postproduction. Steve however is out of the field creating most of the magic within his camera. Truly an incredible feat. Steve takes bold creative license, and most often experiences a heightened degree of success from an artistic endeavors. His vertical formats to his surreal color work all testaments that Steve truly thinks outside the box when it comes to image composition, exposure and manipulation.

Not only are Steve's images above approach, he is kind enough to give us the technical details of most of his images, which his fans, (and I include myself as one of his biggest) gobble up, every detail that he provides us. I myself being a classically trained photographer, having achieved a four-year degree in photography, know just the type of photographer that Steve truly is. Steve is the wildcard, he is the chap that is new to photography, but takes it like a duck to water. Almost everything he does turn to gold, and photographers such as myself look back at our diplomas and all our equipment and just shake our heads in disbelief. I'm proud to know Steve, and call him a friend. Do yourself a favor and follow Steve's work, and mark him as a contact. I'll guarantee that you will not be let down by any of the images that you will see them close to the future.

"I have just returned from Northumberland with a pack of playing cards featuring scenes from around the North-East . . . and put them in the bin for being so dull. They were just overprocessed snap shots.
Having seen Amblekingrat's work prior to going they were never going to live up to my expectations anyway. Northumbria's tourist department would do well to get on their knees and beg him to do them some work."

This is Steve way to do photograph, his clicks, the so lively images; coloured, fantastic, they take us in another world, a world free from the barriers, the world of the photograph to the state of the "art".
