.Betina. says:
"Iconic images are rare, especially in the mundane world of photojournalism. They must be beautifully and concisely composed. They must impart something unique to a subject we care about, or make us care enough to look more closely at the stories they tell (for if nobody wants to see or hear what you're trying to tell them, it really doesn't matter how good the pictures are). And they must be memorable. But when they happen their intense simplicity compresses a host of ideas and emotions in a single frame, making complexity seem transparent...
Lee excels at this skill and what results is a breathtaking tour-de-force of photographic insight focusing on the complex reality of the human condition. Whether depicting the magic and innocence of childhood, the pain and anguish of life on the streets, the inevitability of an old age that awaits us all, or the passion and drive of the athlete, all are honestly presented with deep understanding, dignity, compassion and respect.
His is a portfolio filled with unforgettable images that touch the heart, and the viewer leaves a changed person for having seen them.
(Honestly, Lee. If you didn't exist, I'd invent you. You're the best x)."14th May, 2010

I like his whole art mostly the emotive ones. he make great concepts I've ever seen my whole life. He also have the vision that he puts into his works. There's nobody else on flickr who makes me speechless with every single photo. and I'm not even sure if my testimonial make any sense cause i'm so speechless when i want to talk about someone like him. I can only wish to be as good as he is one day. A forever inspiration :)

"Once in a great while, an image comes along that stops you in your tracks and makes your heart flutter a little faster, your eyes widen, and you notice that you just "gasped" at the very sight of you just saw. This is what happened the first time I saw one of LJ's pictures. True story!
As one of my favorite photographers on Flickr...or anywhere, he never disappoints me. You can learn lighting, you can learn how to process a photo.....and you can even nail the technical stuff, but very few can show us emotion the way that he does. Very few can capture a moment so perfectly....and he keeps you thinking about that moment for days to come.....even months.
There isn't a single picture that he posts that doesn't leave me shaking my head....one day he's gonna teach me everything he knows! No matter how heartbreaking and "real" some of his images are, Lee always shows so much love and compassion through his photos. Thank you for that Lee....xoxox, K"16th March, 2009

"A faultless technician in producing the highest quality of image, B&W and colour, composition and lighting,Lee has a command of these which is very hard to surpass. The portrait work shows the other side to a photographer, that of understanding his subject and communicating that interest to the world and it is this that he does extraordinarily well. His images are immediately affecting, showing a very high level of sensitivity and compassion and a vitality which is genuinely infectious.
A truly top drawer photographer, inspiring and generous and producing some astonishing works."10th November, 2008

I just recently did, through a mutual contact and he has become an inspiration to me. It is so good to see that there are people in this world that truely care for those that are less fortunate.

"What can I say about Lee? Well, his is one of the first and last streams I visit when I log on to flickr. He is so seriously talented and his stream is nothing less than spectacular.
Photography is all about evoking emotion and his portraits of the homeless are pretty profound. They most certainly leave me with some pretty strong emotions and I often think of his photographs long after I've left his stream.
Not only is Lee a really talented photographer, Lee is a really wonderful, caring person who always has time for a chat. I love seeing his take on life and have to say I'm the first one in line for the book. :)"15th July, 2008

"I feel honoured (and surprised) to be Lee's first testimonial writer...
I've never met Lee, never spoken to Lee — other than to exchange a few Flickr mails — and wouldn't know Lee if I bumped into him on the streets of London. What I do know of Lee is that he is a storyteller in photographer's clothing. He has that rare ability to tell a story in each of his photos. He doesn't simply capture a moment in time, like most of us do with the press of the shutter; he captures the emotion, the spirit and the drama of that instant. I've had the pleasure to have worked with some amazing photojournalists and LJ's work is easily in the same league.
Lee clearly has many admirers of his work here on Flickr. My personal feeling is that this work needs and deserves to be seen by many more outside the Flickr community and I encourage LJ to publish and exhibit his photography. Images this powerful beg for a larger audience.
LJ, whether you have any interest in making a living with your work, I don't know, but I do know that your gifted skills make that a definite possibility. Thanks for sharing your incredible gift."1st May, 2008
