"Once in a great while, an image comes along that stops you in your tracks and makes your heart flutter a little faster, your eyes widen, and you notice that you just "gasped" at the very sight of you just saw. This is what happened the first time I saw one of LJ's pictures. True story!

As one of my favorite photographers on Flickr...or anywhere, he never disappoints me. You can learn lighting, you can learn how to process a photo.....and you can even nail the technical stuff, but very few can show us emotion the way that he does. Very few can capture a moment so perfectly....and he keeps you thinking about that moment for days to come.....even months.

There isn't a single picture that he posts that doesn't leave me shaking my head....one day he's gonna teach me everything he knows! No matter how heartbreaking and "real" some of his images are, Lee always shows so much love and compassion through his photos. Thank you for that Lee....xoxox, K"

I've never met Lee, never spoken to Lee — other than to exchange a few Flickr mails — and wouldn't know Lee if I bumped into him on the streets of London. What I do know of Lee is that he is a storyteller in photographer's clothing. He has that rare ability to tell a story in each of his photos. He doesn't simply capture a moment in time, like most of us do with the press of the shutter; he captures the emotion, the spirit and the drama of that instant.
