I’m a twenty-something college graduate with a BA in English Creative Writing. I hope to someday be a published author!
I’ve been crocheting for twelve years and I would consider myself an expert. I like to design my own patterns and I’ve won two afghan contests in the past. I taught myself how to crochet when I was 12, inspired by my grandma who crocheted her whole life. I have taught numerous people to crochet, including my mom. I’ve been knitting for seven years. I taught myself to knit as a New Year’s resolution 2004 and haven’t stopped ever since. I love both crafts and can’t decide on a favorite. Afghans, shawls/lace, scarves, mittens/fingerless gloves, sweaters, plush, and socks are my favorite things to knit/crochet.
I’ve now added spinning to my yarn obsession, as of August 2010. After purchasing my first wheel, a Kromski Sonata, in October 2010, I’ve been in love with spinning ever since! My yarns keep improving and so far my favorite way to spin is worsted, mainly 2-ply yarns, and especially loving lace-weight.
