Dave Angood's photostream
|
My name is Dave and I live in Norfolk in the Uk. I have built a great passion for photography and will try my hand at anything photographic.
My good friend Jeff over in Maine has been the biggest inspiration for me. He has taught me to shoot SOOC and to play with light to gain fantastic exposures. He takes no prisoners, but if you really want to learn how to control your camera in full manual mode, then there is no one better. So many shots are killed by over processing here on flickr, when the basics should be learnt first.
I don't join the post 1 comment 3 type of groups as I want comments back not icons. Constructive and helpful comments are the best thing you can get back from anyone on flickr. Icons just glog up the space.
Here is what I have.

"So, I suppose that, since you are in the testimonial section, you are looking to me to give you the ‘goods’ on Dave?! Well, the first word that comes to mind is that Dave is a ‘character’! His fun and friendly personality radiates across every page of his amazing photo stream. His humour is refreshing and always sure to put a smile on your lips and a laugh in your belly! I just love Dave’s enthusiastic approach to life and photography. He is infatuated with trying and mastering every aspect of photography and his quest for that knowledge is contagious. Dave is also very willing to give his ‘Mates’ a helping hand and share new things that he has learned. Dave’s work is both incredible and inspiring and his delightful approach to photography is truly unique.
Dave’s love for his family is foremost. His pride of his local, beautiful Norfolk countryside is evident. His outgoing and friendly personality is dominant. You couldn’t go wrong having Dave as a Flickr Friend.
(I truly value our friendship Big Guy! Thank you for making Flickr so much fun day after day! =^D)"24th February, 2010

"I'm not very good at this type of thing but here goes lol.. Dave is a wonderful man & fantastic friend it is a pleasure & privilege to know him & be able to follow along with his work ! I have been doing so for a year now & I gotta say he is one to watch for many reasons.. Everyday he keeps us guessing with what next either at the marina on the roof in the country in the snow in the sink in town or there is 4 Dave's you just never know & it's always fun ! He has such a great eye for things & constantly looking for new scenes ideas light technique anything to better himself at what he loves to do & always willing to share what he knows & help out in any way possible.. He is able to arrive at a scene & walk away with something great that really conveys his vision &/or what the scene was like regardless of the equipment he had how the light was what time of year day of the week it is weather conditions time restraints skills etc etc.. Truly is a photographer & his work is a testament to what one can do with a little drive motivation & some equipment regardless of what it is what it costs who made it etc etc He can show beauty in the simplest of things most overlook or cannot see.. Thanks for sharing Dave & letting us ride along on your journey.. Bravo !
p.s. Big thanks to your wonderful family for letting you come out & play !"9th January, 2010
