Free Online Forum Space for Photography Clubs

Northeastfoto.com is donating space on their site (forums and galleries) to photography clubs located in the Northeastern US. Northeastfoto.com (NEF) is a fun, approachable online community, offering a meeting place for photographers who want to improve their skills, share their photos, and learn more about the art and technique of photography.

A private club forum on NEF’s site offers many benefits including:

1)A place to discuss club business outside of your meetings, where all of your club members can participate/share/contribute from anywhere with online access
2)A place to post and archive important club notices, show club activities and post newsletters
3)Gallery space to post photos for critique, feedback, comments, sharing, etc
4)A place to discuss photo related issues and share tips, knowledge and questions
5)A place to host online club photo contests, as well as post photo assignments and lessons
6)An avenue to attract additional club members

This “photography club space” is a private forum within NEF, which would only be viewable and accessible to your club members (and to NEF administrators and site moderators, for moderation purposes only). Once a photography club is setup on the NEF site, your photography club leader creates an “access group” made up of club members. Club members simply join the NEF site (free membership), and then request access to your club/group. It’s that easy!

Club members will also be able to (and are encouraged to) participate in the public forums on NEF’s site. There are a wide range of photographers on the site, from beginners to pros, sharing knowledge on many topics including technique, style, lighting, photo processing and software, photo printers and photography genres, as well as on equipment and accessories (everything from 35mm to Medium/Large Format to Digital, and from Point and Shoots to Film SLRs to DSLRs).
