I live in a coastal town called Weston-super-Mare in North Somerset. England's West Country is where my soul lives.

The greatest love of my life is my camera. I use a Nikon D300s with a variety of lens including an old Tamron 500mm mirror, a Nikon 70-300 Telephoto and 60mm macro. I also have an Nikon D70, FM2 and Olympus OM2.

Some of my shots on Flickr go back to the 1950s and my photographic archive must hold thousands of images.

Wildife is my chosen subject these days, but I also love landscapes and architecture. In the sixties I shot many railway action shots during the final years of steam traction. My railway collection is pretty extensive. Take a look at www.steamweb.net.

    young-at-art. says:

"Nigel has lived and loved through his camera all his life. From Steam Locos in the 60's to Wildlife in the new millennium. His macro insects taken with patience producing sharp images with amazing detail. Through his lens we are able to glimpse a part of Nige's world. It may be birds and wildlife or the beloved West Country that he has made his home. A kind and considerate man. Thank you for sharing your unique images with the greater world of Flickr. You are indeed an artist and dear friend with a beautiful soul."
