My husband and I live and work on a large ranch in New Mexico. I love all aspects of ranching and almost anything to do with the outdoors. These pictures are an effort to share my life & experiences with family, friends, & anyone who might get pleasure out of at least experiencing this part of the country and ranching through pictures. Joining flickr has opened my eyes & thoughts to the wide variety of photographic captures & talent that are out there & has encouraged me to see shots that I hadn't seen before. I'm always striving to improve for my own self satisfaction, so any comments or suggestions are indeed welcome!

"I love the textures and the colors Denise captures. Sometimes you feel the sun and taste the grit in your mouth by visiting her Photostream. I keep coming back to experience the flavors of the Southwest and to visit her ranch."

"Denise’s photo stream makes me happy, she is living the cowboy life and capturing it for posterity. Working cowboys, cowgirls, roping and branding and the New Mexican West are lucky to have Denise there to capture this disappearing way of life.

I am envious of the subject matter she gets to immerse herself in every day."

"This testimonial is long over due.

I have been admiring, for quite some time, Denise's many wonderful photos depicting ranch living and life as a cowboy/cowgirl.

Each of her cowboy portraits capture, in the eyes of her wonderful photography subjects, the true Western spirit along with a lifestyle that is not as prevalent today as I wish it was.

Her many photos of ranch hands "Driving the Herd" or young cowboys and cowgirls learning to rope or brand calves, with dust flying, ropes twirling and horses running, bring you right smack dab into the middle of the action. You can taste the dust and grit in your teeth and smell the horse's sweat mixed with the leather of the saddle. You can hear the cows mooing, the spurs jingling and the hooves a poundin" It's a great experience.

It's an experience worth having and I'm glad she posts the great shots that she does for all us us flickrites to enjoy.

I love horses, but the lifestyle Denise shows us is something I've never really experienced first hand, but through her photos, I get a real taste of what it's like to live on a working, thriving ranch."

"Denise was my first flickr friend;-) Her pictures are amazing. If you love the west, her photostream is where you want to be. She is very talented and should be a Western Horseman contributor...on a regular basis;-) To my friend, Denise, the best cowgirl photographer on flickr!

"Denise's photography shows a life most of us "cowgirl-wannabes" can only dream of. It is my good fortune that Denise is a great photographer, and shares her life with Flickr fanatics. The true spirit of the west shines thru her photography, and I hope that I can continue to be her trail partner for many years to come. Ride on cowgirl!"

"I would like to be the first to write a testimonial for Denise. She has some really wonderful shots of New Mexico and the ranch that she and her husband work on. She has worked hard to learn photography pretty much on her own, and she has done a great job of it. Denise has documented life on a large ranch in New Mexico. Just take a look at her shots. They are very good. She explains what is going on at the ranch and what she and her husband go through living there.

Cowboy hats off to you, Denise."
