Initially when I started with photography, I was interested in wildlife and that is still one of my passions today. Now with more time and experience, I find beauty all around me.

I shoot for a Minor Hockey Association in the winter and keep busy the rest of the year with nature and wildlife photography, studio portraits of people and pets, weddings, events and travel workshops with Nature's Photo Adventures. I feel lucky to be able to make a living doing something that I love.

Sometimes I find it a bit overwhelming trying to keep up with the contacts that I have, let alone all the wonderful photographers that comment on my stream. Please understand that this is only because of time constraints and in no way personal or a lack of interest on my part. I also understand that life gets busy, so please don't feel obligated to comment on my stream.

    Ryan D Russell says:

"I'm not big on long and drawn out speeches and testimonials, so I'll keep this brief. Megan is without a doubt, THE BEST wildlife photographer I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Her work is always inspirational and motivating to me personally, and if I can ever be even half as skillful and talented with a camera as she is, I think I could be happy with my own work. Keep it coming Megan!

Oh and by the way, she's not just the best wildlife photographer...her other stuff is amazing too!"

"I CAME ACROSS MEGAN'S PHOTOSTREAM ONE DAY WHILE SEARCHING FOR OWL PHOTOS AND HAVE ENJOYED IT EVER SINCE.
HER PHOTOSTREAM IS ONE OF THE 1ST I CHECK EVERYDAY AND SHE HAS NOT DISAPPOINTED ME YET.
WHETHER IT IS AN ANIMAL IN THE WILD , OR A ZOO SHOT , HER PHOTOS ARE ALWAYS VERY WELL FOCUSED AND COMPOSED , AND SHOWS HOW SERIOUS SHE TAKES HER PHOTOGRAPHY.
I AM GLAD TO BE CONSIDERED A CONTACT OF HERS AND LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING ALOT MORE GREAT PHOTOS FROM HER IN THE FUTURE.
MEGAN , KEEP POSTING THOSE GREAT ANIMAL PHOTOS AND I WILL KEEP LOOKING AND COMMENTING ON THEM.

    Steve's Animal Portraits says:

"Artistic is the first word that comes to mind when I think of Megan's marvellous nature shots. Her use of lighting, colour, framing and a true empathy for her subject shines through in every one of her lovely images. It doesn't seem to matter whether it's a bird perched on a fence, or a gorgeous view of some magical place, that feeling is still there.
I have more of her shots in my favourite box than most others combined, and there would probably be more if I delved even further back in her photo-stream.

Heaven knows what new heights you're going to hit once that big Canon 400mm or 500mm is in your hands, Megan!

Yours is one of the first sites I check when I turn the computer on in the morning. You frequently make my day. Keep it up!"

"Megan is my favorite contact on Flickr. Her images continue to inspire and amaze me, and her kindness in both her comments and critiques reveal the wonderful person she is outside of photography.

Megan has become my mentor on this site, and I'm honored to have her take the time to watch over my progress, offer suggestions for improvement, and support my new photography habit.

She's kind, funny, encouraging, forthright, and extremely, exceptionally talented. If you want to see the very best wildlife imagery Flickr has to offer, spend some time looking through her images."

"Megan is a rising star in the art of photography. Her approach to each new image is always unique. The one outstanding quality I see in each of her images is simplicity. She comes right to the point knowing exactly what to include...but more important...what to leave out.

Keep your eye on this photographer. You will always find stunning and inspiring subjects that have that special Megan Lorenz touch!!
