For me photography is the only objective way of depicting what life is and not what we think, feel, hear, read or believe it is and to detach a moment from the lapse of time. The more of these immortalized precious moments called pictures we can add to our album before we close it, the more we made of it.


This stream should be viewed with Safari browser (Mac) and not with Mozilla Firefox. As much as I like that browser, their colour profiles are crap!

Constructive criticism is more than welcome :-)

For those, like me, sometimes wondering, what a certain picture could have been taken with, here the weapons of choice:

ANALOG-MEDIUM FORMAT

Gossen Starlite2

SCANNING
Epson Perfection v750 Pro
Silverfast Ai (lots of options, but quite annoying, especially for slides) /VueScan (not very helpful) / Epson Scan (easy to use and gets the job done)
+MF holders with ANR glass from betterscanning.com

DIGITAL:

Nikon D80 (DX- 23.6 x 15.8 mm CCD, [1.5 × FOV crop] sensor)

Nikkor AF 50 f1.4D
Sigma 10-20mm, f4.0-5.6
Tamron 17-50mm, f2.8

It does make a difference to use at least a monopod, like this:

-or if you have the time and patience, do it properly with a tripod like this:
