I'm a eighteen year old guy who plays football and loves aviation. I started taking flight lessons at fifteen from Concord Regional Airport, and work my butt off to get the money to do it. I soloed on my sixteenth birthday, but because of money and time, I have fallen behind the eight ball on training. That's pretty much me in a nutshell. I work in the restoration and maintenance side of the Carolinas Aviation Museum, and enjoy flying on our 65 year old Douglas DC-3. I will be attending Mount Olive College in the fall of 2009, and pursuing a program of study that will involve a major in English Communications with a concentration in journalism, and a minor in photography.
As for photography, I have a Canon D-Rebel, kindly given to me by MedicalStudent, and this has taken my photography to new places. I use a Sigma 70-300 APO DG for most airshow work, and if I am working with a contract, I'll borrow a friend's Canon 30D and Sigma 50-500 lens. Over the past few months, I have been very blessed, and doors have opened to allow me to do extraordinary things in the realm of aviation. Over the past summer, i was fortunate enough to be able to crew on the B-25J Panchito at several airshows, including Airventure 2008 in Oshkosh, WI. This comes on top of my wonderful friends and family that have worked so hard to help my dreams come true. Photography is just another portal to my future sucess. This site is in hopes that someone will see something they like, and allow me to do something with photography that will both draw attention to aviation, and benefit my personal goals in the long run.
