I am a totally obsessed amateur photographer interested in the world immediately around me. I live in Toronto, close to Lake Ontario and love exploring my own neighbourhood. I started out with point and shoots, switched to a little Canon G10 and then onto a Canon T2i. I've been pleased with it's performance.

A couple of years on Flickr has done wonders for my work. Nothing like being in the company of masters to improve your art. I can't thank my Flickr friends and contacts enough. I have learned much from so many of you. And none of us is done yet!

Please don't be offended if I don't automatically make you a contact. I like to get to know my contacts and keep in touch with the work they are doing.

I appreciate your awards and favors but if you have nothing in your own photostream don't be surprised if I automatically block you. Flickr is about sharing. So share, but don't just take from others. If you favor repeatedly and are not in contact in any way, I'm sorry I'm going to block you.

And please...
Please don't use my images without my explicit permission.

"Ah dear Lynda is one of those caring Flickroos who's love of natural history shines like a beacon in the wonderful detail she always manages to capture in the viewfinder and transport us to the scene before her.
Much of her work is thought provoking...check out Chapel by the Sea along with the narrative...and holds the viewers attention long after the initial wow's have passed, that's the mark of a true photographer.
Have a look at her Fence Friday Set....these are just fences to the rest of us but are very tangible with a life of their own when seen through Lynda's eyes, wonderful work.
Always loyal to her Contacts and has a lovely understated sense of humour. I, having been ill recently and almost leaving Flickr found her words of kindness and encouragement a tremendous boost, for that she has my heartfelt gratitude.
It is my honour and very great pleasure to call her a friend and I await her latest posts eagerly.
    My dear friend Lynda......Bob"

"Lynda is so very special in so many ways. She is not only a great photographer and artist but I just love how she sees the world. It's a real treat to follow her photostream and experience her visions.
She has this special way with words that makes you want to hold on to each one as she explains her descriptions of each image, her images come alive with her magical words...

One could not ask for a better contact, I see her comments on so many images and she takes much time to follow the works of others leaving her magical words that makes you inspired and encouraged. She just has this gift of making one feel good...
I expecially appreciate her and all the help she has given me since I joined Flickr. She even helped me with my decision of choosing the right lens for my camera.

I feel so very lucky to have met her and have her as a friend!

Thanks Lynda for all your help and kindness,
    Che"

"Lynda is not just my sister and friend - she is a huge inspiration to me as a photographer and artist. She has a natural eye for the magical world around her and knows exactly how to translate her vision into beautiful images. She takes her cue from flowers, interior still-life elements, the Florida beaches she loves, birds/wildlife and her travels. Then she mixes even more of her soul into the work with textures, B&W treatments and other creative processing techniques. Each photo is truly a work of art.

Lynda is also a wonderful and gifted writer. If you have time, please visit her 2009-2010 swan set, as well as her recent Florida owl set, where she documents, in gorgeous photos and stories, her observations of these beautiful birds. You won't be disappointed!

As a contact, Lynda is a true gem. She always makes time to visit the work of others, leaving encouraging, lovely, kind comments that are both uplifting and motivating. She will also make you laugh, on her photostream and yours!

Thank-you for sharing your lovely work with us, Lynda! I always look forward to your next upload! :) xoxo"
