Hi , I'm Dave Forbes , a young looking 50-something! My travels have taken me to Ayr , Minehead (Somerset) , Royal Tonbridge Wells (Kent) , Torbay & Falmouth (Cornwall) , where I crewed onboard several ferry services and shark fishing in between. I'm not particular in what I shoot , as long as it's decent and tells a good story albeit through some research afterwards. Photography can be very educational that we all should gain every day. Although my twin sister and I were born in Falkirk , I personally have nothing to do with the town itself now. I was gainfully employed with my local council in East Dunbartonshire/UK for some 32 years before my recommended early retirement in July 2010. In my spare time I go out 'n' about when the opportunity arises. Some of my early photos were taken with a Vivitar fixed lens and and early LG Mobile (not the most visually best captures). Most are taken with my Sony Alpha 200 DSLR.
My photostream is primarily with ships & boats photos and anything maritime. I have an interest in ships & boats which dates back to the mid-1970's. Railway is a good subject as well. I have , in recent weeks , tried my hand at video captures , a whole new visually testing pastime.
