I'm just beginning my foray into digital photography. The only digital pics I had taken were a few from my son's older camera, which turned out truly crummy since I had no idea how to use the thing!
For my birthday I was to get a new Canon S5. Long story there. My plan is to buy an advanced compact digital camera, learn to use that well and master some basic photographic techniques, and then move up to a DSLR.
Until then, I'm happy to share the many "snap-shots" that portray my daily life. Feel free to leave comments.
Growing up in Sonoma County has given me a great appreciation for the natural world, from the Pacific Ocean to the West and the Sierra Nevada mountain range to the East. I also have a deep passion for the beauty of the "Wine Country" -- all of Sonoma, Marin, and Napa counties, as well as the California and Oregon coast line.
In a short time I have become addicted to Flickr! I enjoy participating in the Flickr! community, and I'm looking forward to learning from all of you.
