I have been shooting since the summer of 2004, when I got my 10D in 2004. My interest in photography has sporadically risen and fallen as my life's other commitments have been more and less demanding. Initially my two big photographic interests were macro and sunsets.

This past summer, my interest in photography grew, even though I did not shoot much. Instead I have began reading a lot about camera technology, exposure and optical theory on the internet (there are lots of great sources, but my favourite has been the forums at www.fredmiranda.com).

After learning more about lenses I expanded my kit a bit. This past Christmas I was fortunate to benefit from the rising Canadian dollar and snag a 5D for $1800, after rebate. At this point I consider myself hopelessly addicted, and flickr is getting me more hooked. Thanks to everyone who views, comments and favourites my pics, I find it very rewarding.
