Hi,
my name is Karsten.

I was born in 1968 in Hanau, Germany.
I am a graduate mechanical engineer.

I started with photography in 2008 when my wife gave me my first DSLR at Xmas. It is one of my biggest hobbies and when I have time to take some photos I really enjoy this time.
I try to take the photos in a way that I don´t have to post-process them. As I said I try. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. But if I have to post-process them, I enjoy this time too. For me it´s fun and every time I use my software I learn more about post-processing.
The whole photography is such a wide and interesting field and therefore a wonderful hobby to spend time on. I am really glad that my wife gave me the camera at that time.

As I said, I appreciate every comment. It means, if you want me to view your photo stream, leave me a comment and not just an award...a simple "good" or "nice" or whatever would be OK...critique is OK too...award + comment is also OK ;-).
In most of the groups you have to award up to 6 other photos. The problem is that sometimes you don´t find so many photos that you really want to award. What happens? You just copy and paste the award because you have to, otherwise you get banned :-( From my point of view this makes no sense. But OK, sometimes these are the rules.
At the end of the day I must say that I prefer a simple comment instead of a huge award.
