Peru's background is composed of good parenting and strong friendships. He grew up in Lima, Peru where at age of 16, a depressed economy led him to continue his studies in Canada. Ten years later, his artistic evolution is marked by experiences and inspiration acquired during his many travels, and his work from traditional to digital art. While establishing his career as a freelance illustrator and muralist in Montreal, Peru has taken advantage of exhibiting his work throughout the Americas and Europe as a gallery artist. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he is also comfortable with Italian, French, and Macintosh.

As a child he traveled with his parents — his father being a dirt-bike racer — all through his native country's exotic extremes, where he found a deep appreciation for nature, and at the same time being a member of a soccer gang, which later evolved to graffiti art, giving him insight to social justice and self expression. Combining a fun conscious style and his developed illustrative education, Peru Dyer is an artist to be reckoned with as he plans to continue on his mission of collective upliftment. “We take our imagination for granted” he says. “As an artist I feel I have a mission to educate and inspire.”
