I've almost been named Galadrielle, but my mother knew someone who named her daughter that in the same city so she changed her mind.

Hi, I'm Gabrielle, I love caffeine and I am addicted to the color purple.

I work with words and pictures. Music is vital: it triggers my creativity. I usually title my creations (paintings, drawings, books) using lyrics floating in my head or whatever is playing. I work mainly in portraits and collages, and I love to draw from real life because it captures a moment and when you look at real life later you remember smells, sounds and feelings. I also adore photography, stencils, writing... I am pretty multidisciplinary. I have a university degree in visual arts and I intend to go back to school for more, this time in graphic design. Making moleskine covers and personnalizing my sketchbooks has always been my thing, the one I did outside of every homework and art project and kept doing. I've been making books (I call them cahiers, but they are sketchbooks/art journals) for over 5 years now, and plan to do so for the rest of my life.

I love looking out the window in the bus and wonder about the lives of people on the sidewalk. Some days, everyone is beautiful, and the rest of the time I do my best to find beauty in the tiny details we often overlook.
