I take photos with a small pocket camera: I am more used to writing than to photographing..

I don't care for awards and glossy badges.

My nickname is a reference to Nathaniel Hawthorne's unusual romance "Marble Faun" (1860). He set his story in a fantastical Italy. 19th century travellers used to read it and to add between its pages photographs of sites, monuments and sculptures bought during their journey.
