I am an all around Nature Nerd and suffer from AADD- animal attention deficit disorder. I have found a way to make a career out of my passion and currently work for the MD Dept of Natural Resources. I spent the last two years working with rare species and communities and now am embarking upon getting the word out through education and outreach.

While my specialty lies in plants, I can't help but document all the other neat stuff I see on a daily basis. I love to learn, and hope to be one of those naturalists who can ID just about anything presented to them!

I have been an avid amateur nature photographer for several years now. I have taken most of my photos with a Canon Powershot A60, but recently I have upgraded to a Canon S5 IS. I loooooove that camera! Most of my photos are for documenting purposes, especially concerning the rare species. I would much rather take voucher pictures than collect specimens.
