My name is not related to Auron of Final Fantasy fame, although the similarity is a pleasant coincidence.
Also it is not my real name but is drawn from a story I've been working on (see link, somewhere on this page).

It's still true! Scientists have yet to invent pain medication that is more effective, nor safer, than opiates. ~ I am a firm advocate of chronic pain patients right to continued access to such medications. www.ampainsoc.org/advocacy/opioids.htm
