My interest in painting and photography started only a few years back when I developed a taste for "finer things in life".
Being a formal education in engineering, I thought I needed something to balance my usually technical view of things. I picked up digital painting after seeing the work of marvelous works of artists posted on the internet and got myself a WACOM tablet. It allowed me to get away from reality for a short while, indulged in a make-believe world.
As I developed further along this line, it also opened up my eyes to the beauty that is present in my life too. Determined not to let this moments of breathtaking beauty and awe slip me buy, I dug out from my savings and got myself a camera. This also happened to be first camera I have gotten in my quarter of a century life.
The rest of that is history... :)
