  "I can't think of any photographer out there who has brought out, or should I say back the memories of Northern New England of the 40's-50's so much. He shoots the scenes most people overlook or take for granted but are disappearing. I look and I see my father carrying me on his shoulders through the snow, I look at these pictures and I remember closing my eyes as we passed a haywagon on a three lane curved road alongside the river in the valley. That's the power his photos have. To bring me back 50, 60 years:pop-like that. And it's just his that do this rare thing. He truly has a gift.
